Under the project “Provision of Higher Education Opportunities for Students of Balochistan and FATA (Phase-II)”, Batch-IV, HEC is offering postgraduate scholarships in all disciplines.
HEC Balochistan and FATA Scholarships are available for MS/MPhil programs in local HEC approved universities, according to the Higher Education Commission in Islamabad. Under the project “Provision of Higher Education Opportunities for Balochistan and FATA Students,” scholarships are available for ALL programs and disciplines.
The deadline for online scholarship applications is Friday, June 4, 2021.
Applicants are encouraged to review their emails and the HEC website for updates on a regular basis, and to submit long before the deadline in order to receive assistance in the event of any inconvenience.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
v Applicants must have a local/domicile certificate from the province of Balochistan or the former Fata.
v Applicants must have completed 16 years of schooling with a minimum grade point average of 60%.
v The candidate’s age as of the scholarship deadline is 35 years old.
v On or before the deadline, applicants must have obtained the necessary academic qualification.
v Applicants who have already earned a HEC/Government scholarship are ineligible to apply.
v For admission to MS/MPhil programs, applicants must meet HEC and University eligibility requirements.
Scholarship Coverage
v Tuition and other fees (including hostel fees) are limited to a total of Rs. 60,000 per semester.
v Living Allowance of Rs. 9,000 per month for the second year, with an annual increase of Rs. 500.
v An annual book allowance of Rs. 6,000 is given.
v A yearly travel allowance of Rs. 5,000 is given.
v Once upon a time, you will be given a settlement allowance of Rs 10,000.
Note
v Scholarships will be given out on the basis of merit and the District/Agency Quota.
v Candidates will be short-listed based on their scores on the HEC Aptitude Test and their academic qualifications.
v The scholarship allocation ratio for Balochistan and FATA students is 50:50.
How to Apply for Postgraduate Scholarships for Balochistan and FATA Students
v Applicants must apply their applications online at http://hec.gov.pk/site/phobf.
v HEC reserves the right, at any time and for any reason, to delay or cancel the scholarship process.
v Hard copies of applications will not be accepted.
v Applicants must deposit a non-refundable application fee of Rs.500/- in HBL account No. 1742-79001334-01 and upload a scanned copy/image online when applying.
