population, ranking first (almost) every time. One thing is certain: if you
want to study in Denmark, you may catch a glimpse of the Danes’ natural
happiness.
Denmark, with a population of 5.6 million people, is a tiny
but proud country in Northern Europe. It shares borders with Germany in the
south and Sweden in the east, with coasts on the Northern and Baltic Seas.
Denmark is one of the most popular foreign research

Higher education in Denmark

Tuition Fees & Scholarships in Denmark
You may not have to pay tuition fees if you are a student
from the EU/EEA or Switzerland; higher education in Denmark is free for you.
Students enrolled in an exchange programme in Denmark are entitled to free education.
If you have a permanent residency permit in Denmark
(regardless of your country of origin) or if you have a parent who has a
residence permit, you do not have to pay tuition fees.
Depending on the university and the programme of study,
tuition for all other students will vary from EUR 6,000 to 16,000 a year.
Degrees in the social sciences, for example, start at about
EUR 6,000 per year, while specialty degrees like medicine will cost up to EUR
35,000 per year. In Denmark, the total cost of a degree is between EUR 12,000
and 15,000 per year.
PhD programs Tuition Fees
Many PhD programs in Denmark are entirely financed and they
are established as collaborations between universities and private businesses,
academic centers, and business enterprises. PhD services that are self-funded
usually cost between EUR 10,000 and 16,000 a year.
Scholarships in Denmark
Universities in Denmark are valued for their educational
importance, which outweighs the need to collect funds from students. Instead,
colleges attract a vast number of students by offering diverse types of
scholarships, funds, and grants. This is due to ongoing collaborations between
universities, academic centers, and national and European programs.

Job in Denmark

hours a week during the school year and full time during the summer vacation

Visa to Study in Denmark
Applying for a Student Visa in Denmark is reasonably easy.
Students must first verify that they have received an acceptance letter from
the university of their choice. However, the application process varies
depending on the foreign student’s country of birth, so consult with the Danish
Embassy in your home country. It is recommended that students apply well in
advance of the reporting date to enable the concerned nation to complete all of
the necessary logistics.
Application Process
Programs for undergraduates
The deadline for applying to start a Bachelor’s degree at
the beginning of the academic year (August/September) is the 15th of March.
A few universities allow students to launch their studies in
the middle of the year, at the start of the spring semester (January/February),
in which case the application deadline is September 1.
Instead of applying to specific schools, applicants send
their applications to the nationwide admissions website.
