Technical University of Milan is the largest technical university in Italy with about 40,000 students. 

Every year, the Polytechnic
University of Milan offers scholarships to talented international
students applying to study at the university’s master’s program at the
Faculty of Natural Sciences. 

The degree “Laurea Magistrale”
is equivalent to the degree of Master of Science awarded after studying
in the magistracy for 2 years. 

The university offers programs in English and Italian.

The university offers 3 types of scholarships to students applying for one of the “Laurea Magistrale” programs:

  1. Platinum Scholarship .
    10,000€ per year. The scholarship pays for accommodation in one of the
    campuses of the university, the rest of the scholarship (after taxes)
    the student will receive in cash for pocket expenses. The student will
    only need to pay an administration fee.
  2. Golden Scholarship .
    5,000€ per year. The scholarship pays for accommodation in one of the
    campuses of the university, the rest of the scholarship (after taxes)
    the student will receive in cash for pocket expenses. The student will
    only need to pay an administration fee.
  3. Silver Scholarship .
    Fully pays for the student’s tuition, the student will only need to pay
    an administrative fee. The university offers 100 silver scholarships.

The number of scholarships
provided by the university varies from year to year. For the 2021-2022
academic year, the university has allocated: 

  • Campus in Milan – 10 Platinum Scholarships and 60 Gold Scholarships.
  • Campus in Piacenza – 8 gold scholarships (to study architecture) and 8 gold scholarships (to study energy engineering).
  • Campus in Mantova – 3 gold scholarships for the study of the history and design of architecture.

Requirements:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree,
    qualifications in the bachelor’s degree must be contiguous with that in
    which the candidate wishes to study in the master’s program.
  • Students who are still in
    their undergraduate studies can apply. If you receive a bachelor’s
    degree by the end of July, you can enroll in a master’s program for the
    first semester (training begins in October). If you receive a
    bachelor’s degree by the end of December, you can enroll in a master’s
    program for the second semester (training begins in March).
  • The main subjects studied in the bachelor’s degree should be similar to the subjects of the master’s program.
  • Some countries require a GPA. For some, an extract with grades is enough.
  • Certificate confirming
    knowledge of Italian (B1) or English (TOEFL: CBT -210 / IBT – 78 /
    PBT-547 (TOEFL code – 9795). TOEIC (listening and reading only) – 720.
    IELTS (Academic) – 6. Cambridge : Proficiency – C / Advanced – C / First
    – B. TRINITY COLLEGE: ISE II).
  • Students entering the Energy Engineering program at the Piacenza campus are required to provide GRE test scores

There is no separate
scholarship application. Students enrolling in one of these programs
automatically become applicants for a scholarship.
